Review: P90X

If you are looking for a extreme home fitness program where you burn calories, build and tone muscles. Than this is your program.
Tony Horton is fun, motivational, and just amazing. This guy knows his stuff and how it works. Most of the program you are laughing that you can't even workout. I love quoting him all the time. Especially the " Do your best and forget the rest".
Let me tell you that this was the hardest I have ever worked... ever.  12 workouts total for 90 days, but it was all worth it. This program is for advanced and for people who are already fit and it is challenging from day one.
There are 3 different types of programs you can pick.

Doubles- Very demanding. Ideal for men. More for training.
Lean- more for woman. Lose weight and tone body.
Classic- ideal for men and women. Adds muscle tone and has more cardio
Each program is unique in its own way. There are a lot of double down days in each program. Lean only had them twice a week but doubles and classic have a ton.
I did the lean schedule and here are the workouts that are with it and what they are and how long they are.

  • Core Synergistics- building multiple muscle groups. 58 minutes.
  • Cardio X- low impact cardi. 43 minutes.
  • Shoulder & arms- focuses on shoulders and arms. Weight training.77 minutes.
  • AB ripper X- focuses on sculpting abs. 16 minutes.
  • Yoga X- strength, balance and core work. 92 minutes
  • Kenpo X- Intense cardiovascular workout with punching and kicking for endurance, balance, and coordination. 56 minutes.
  • Chest & Back- Focuses on chest and back. Weight training. 77 minutes.
  • Chest, shoulders and triceps- name says it all. Weight training. 73 minutes.
  • Legs and Back- Focuses on legs and back. Weight training. 76 minutes.
  • Back and Biceps- Focuses on Back and biceps. Weight training. 52 minutes.
  • X-stretch- all stretch. 58 minutes
There is a P90X plus which you can add to your program. It has more intense cardio, muscle building and ab ripper for maximum results. I have not done this one because I was doing the lean program.
Here are the workouts:
  • Interval X plus- a cardio workout that puts your heart rate at 3 different speeds. Recovery, medium and full out. Very high cardio. 40 minutes
  • Kenpo cardio plus- just an more advanced level of the kenpo X. Helps build stamina, balance and agility. 40 minutes
  • Upper plus- Work your upper muscles from your shoulders to your waist line. You won't be able to pick up a ping pong paddle once your done with this monster workout. 45 minutes.
  • Total body plus- Has new synergystic moves to get your muscles pumped, then recuperate in stages. 45 minutes.
  • Abs/core plus- This ab workout has 4 different stages; hanging, sitting, standing and plank positions. This is to make the workout more intense to shred that mid section. 20 minutes.
"Arm circles; like a pterodactyl backing out of trouble"
                 -Tony Horton

The one I had the hardest time with was Cardio X. After 2 months in I was able to do it full on non stop. Cardio X was one I did not enjoy, I'm not a huge fan of cardio. I'm more into toning and weight lifting.
One of my favorites are between yoga x, kenpo x, and ab ripper x.
Yoga X is extremely long and makes you work. I would only do about 45 minutes. People who say
yoga is for wimps... ya no its not. Once you finish the Yoga X you feel amazing and so relaxed.
Kenpo X is full on karate. Punching, kicking and even blocking. I felt like Jackie Chan while doing this workout. Its fun, energetic and you are dripping in sweat after you finish.
Ab ripper X is short but very intense. No modifier its just full blown ab workout. I love this one because of the time and how you feel
after is just amazing.
After almost every workout there is a bonus round. I admit I did the bonus round maybe once and my whole body gave out on me. I would be so exhausted and tired by the time I'm done with the whole workout.
I'm a working mom. I had such a hard time getting the motivation in at 9 at night when my son goes to bed. I would start and wouldn't be done till almost 11 sometimes 11:30, that's if the internet wouldn't load the video. That was the hardest of all during this program. Although I loved the me time that I got to have during that hour. During this program I got the flu and tried kenpo x and only did 30 minutes. I know I should rest but once you start this program you can't stop. I was also afraid to stop because I was afraid that I was not gonna start back up again.

"Do your best and forget the rest"
                -Tony Horton

On week 6 I had already lost 6 pounds and my butt was getting firmer and cellulite was disappearing.
On week 10 I reached my goal weight and upped my weights twice. I had so much energy and had no
problem doing push ups.
Let me tell you the first 2 weeks were rough. I was so tempted to quit so many times. After I got past 2 weeks and started seeing results I kept going. My husband is the one that convinced me to do it. I just laughed and said heck no!!  I've seen the infomercials they make it look so intense. I was breaking a sweat just by watching the videos.
Before I started I had really bad, achy hips. After I finished my hips didn't hurt anymore. It felt amazing, I don't know why it helped but I'm glad it did.
After I finished I started to notice that my abs were coming in. I've never, ever had abs before. I take a lot of pictures of them haha. I love them.

To the right are my results from this program. I have seen major results.
I have lost 11 pounds and dropped 2 pant sizes.

Review: Brazil Butt Lift

Brazil Butt Lift explains it all in the title. This program literally lifts and tones your butt and your legs. There is some ab and weight training in it, but the whole time your working your butt without even knowing. BBL is only 30-60 days long and each workout is 10-50 minutes.
There are different kinds of programs you can do.

Classic- for people who are indecisive. This ones for you.
Slim and lift- for people who have a big flabby butt and bad muffin tops.
Lift and shape- for people who have a pear shaped butt and want more tone.
Volumizer- for people who have a too flat or square butt.

I did the slim and lift. My pencil test did not look pretty. I looked to see what program to do and did it. You can actually do 2 and create a 60 day program and get even more results. Mix and match or do the same one twice. That's what I did. Except i did it in 4 months because I had no idea what I was doing and that I didn't know they give you a schedule. I was new at beach body ok... hey I still got the results I wanted.

Depending on your "pencil test" is what workout to do.
The picture on your right is what the pencil test is and how to do it. I know its a little weird but once I finished this program I did the pencil test again and it was amazing. I noticed a huge difference.
I loved this program because it not only worked one muscle in your butt.... but all three. Gluteus maximus, minimus and medius. I worked muscles I didn't even know I had.

Lets talk about the workouts.

  • Bum Bum- intense cardio with butt sculpting moves. 35 minutes.
  • High and Tight- lift your butt with Leandros secret moves. 35 minutes.
  • Sculpt- tighten and tone your entire body from head to toe. 50 minutes.
  • Cardio Axe- fat burning, cardio, dance routine.
  • Tummy tuck- All about abs 20 minutes.
  • Bum bum rapido- a fast version of bum bum. For people who are in a hurry. 10 minutes.
Now there is a whole other program. Its called the deluxe program. This includes original bbl and the maximum results program, kinda like a hybrid.
Here are the workouts to the maximum results.
  • Rio extreme- Intense cardio. 50 minutes.
  • Abs rapido- fast ab workout. No crunches or push ups. 10 minutes.
  • Uppercuts- sculpting arms. 13 minutes.
I have done the maximum result ones too and I really enjoyed them. The one I most enjoyed was Rio extreme.

As for my favorite workout... I choose all of them. Yes, they were all so enjoyable and fun I couldn't choose a favorite. Cardio axe by the time I'm finished I'm dripping in sweat. My whole body would hurt and it felt good. Bum bum has a lot of cardio in it, that one makes me sweat like crazy too. Tummy tuck is amazing... you feel the burn the whole time. Bum bum rapido wasn't that bad, you barley get a sweat on but you do work your muscles. I wasn't a huge fan of it because I felt like i didn't get enough from it. High and tight is painful for your butt and legs.  You do a couple moves over again but at different angles. Sculpt uses weights. You tone from head to toe and there's some cardio in it. Once your finished you can feel it. phew.

This program is great for beginners who are just starting to workout. I did this program before I did P90X. After this I noticed a big difference in my butt, legs and even stomach. It helped get rid of my "baby pouch".

Here are my results:
I lost about 5 pounds and 3 pant size.

Buffalo chicken lettuce wraps

When I found this recipe and read it I was very skeptical of it.
I tried it and it was amazing and different. So many different tastes. Now you can make a sweet buffalo, non buffalo (spicy) or just buffalo.

What you'll need:
I do not take credit for this picture

  • Butter lettuce- you can get this at Costco. It tastes better with this kind of lettuce, but you can you regular if you want.
  • Grape tomatoes- cute in half
  • ranch
  • 2 Tbl buffalo sauce- I like red hot
  • 1 Tbl brown sugar- maybe more.
  • 2 tsp water- maybe more
  • Avocado
What to do:
Cook chicken add brown sugar, water and buffalo sauce. Or just add buffalo sauce or just brown sugar.
Mix in well. Place on lettuce cup add ranch, tomato, and avocado for toppings.
Now enjoy all these different flavors.

Benefits of Coconut Oil

I've been getting a lot of people ask me what are all the benefits of using coconut oil. I could never name them all so I decided to write a post and name all the benefits of coconut oil.
Make sure the oil is virgin coconut oil. If its cold pressed that's even better.
When consuming it will take a couple tries to get use to the texture, but the flavor tastes amazing.
Here we go...

  • Face lotion; use a little bit and rub on face for maximum moisture and less oily skin. I put it on right before I get out of the shower.
  • UTI/ kidney infections: helps prevent and cure.
  • Anti-Viral: will help eliminate cold and flu symptoms.
  • Rash: helps heal and sooth chicken pox, hand foot and mouth disease ( my son had this and it was horrible, thanks to coconut oil he got over it quick), and shingles.
  • Lip moisturizer; small pea size and rub on lips.
  • Nose bleeds: If your prone to nosebleeds coat the inside of your nose with coconut oil regularly.
  • Fungal/yeast: helps treat ringworm, athletes foot and other fungal or yeast infections.
  • Oil pulling; to pull out toxins from the body and keep breath fresh. (See post oil pulling)
  • Hair mask; it helps hair heal and helps it grow and gets rid of unwanted color. ( See post oil hair mask)
  • Cellulite soother; rub on cellulite spots.
  • Cuts and burns: rub small amount on wound and it'll help heal faster and sooth the burn.
  • Stretch mark soother and prevention; it wont get rid of them it will smooth them out and make them less visible.
  • Toothpaste; helps whiten teeth and freshens breath
  • Healthy cooking; replace butter and oil with this for a healthy version of a recipe.
  • Shaving cream; helps legs stay smooth.
  • Makeup remover; put a small amount on a cotton ball and dab on eyes and skin to get rid of makeup
  • Wrinkle reducer; massage on face before you go to sleep.
  • Sunburn soother; Sooth bad sunburns naturally
  • Butt cream for little ones; I use it on my sons diaper rash and it will be almost gone the next day.
  • Dandruff; helps get rid of dandruff when using as a mask for your hair
  • Body odor; Help get rid of body odor anywhere. North and south of the border.... yes it really does help
  • Breastfeeding; cure cracked, sore nipples with a dab of coconut oil. Also when consumed it will boost milk flow.
  • Heart health: its great nutrition for the heart and keeps it healthy and happy.
  • Weight loss; by consuming it, it helps you loose weight. I put a tablespoon of it in my tea everyday and drink about 2 cups of it.
  • Massage oil; so much better than lotion. Will not dry out or clump up.
  • Dry skin/eczema; Rub on dry, cracked spots and with sooth the pain and help the skin heal. My husbands back would get so dry that it would hurt him. Ever since I started using coconut oil he has been sleeping a lot better with his back all moisturized.
  • Homemade items; use it to make homemade lip balm, soap bars, moisture wrap etc....
  • Energy; when consumed it provides natural energy to get through the day.
  • Chafe prevention; use about a tablespoon to reduce chafing.
  • Insect repellent; mix with peppermint oil and spray as needed.
  • Cracked heels; use pea size and rub on heels to moisturize.
  • Improves blood circulation; consume 2-3 tablespoons, helps relieve inflammation in the arteries.
  • Soothing baby bath; I bath my son in it all the time. Especially when his bum is really bad.
  • Cheekbone highlighter; give your cheeks an extra glow  by applying a small amount to cheekbones.
  • Coffee creamer; add this instead of creamer. Much healthier than regular creamer.
  • Personal lubricant
  • Acne fighter
  • Helps sick pets; can be used to heal anything for your pet. From dry skin to soft coats.
  • Reduces hunger; helps you eat less or to help you not over eat.
  • Boosts brain function when eaten: helps improve memory and function.
More to come....

Wonders of Sign Language for babies

I started teaching my son sign language when he was about 9 months old. I read that you could start introducing them when babies turn 6 months old. I never really believed in it, but I wanted to try. I was a full time mom so I had a lot of time on my hands to teach him something.
Ive had a couple of people tell me that they aren't teaching their kids because they are babbling to much already or that it will effect their speech development. Actually my research tells me that it helps with their speech as they grow. Your enhancing not replacing the language. My son was babbling and talking a lot when he was 9 months old and I still taught him. It doesn't matter if they are talking a lot, you can still teach them and they'll still learn.

I first taught him simple ones like "more" and "eat". I stuck with those ones for about a month. Than I added in "bath", "done", "sleep" and "please". I wanted to stay small and not to over do it with his developing brain. He did have a helmet on for about 5 months so that kinda put a damper in his learning and me teaching. Nash had a hard time with "thank you" because it was the same hand signals as blowing kisses. When he would eat I would say more and sign it than give him another bite. Than when he would refuse his food I would say done than sign it. Also whenever I would give him something, give him a bath or when he gets hungry I would say it than sign it. I did this every time we did that activity. I loved the time we spent together with him learning and me teaching. For a 10 month old he was so into it. He was almost 11 months old when teaching died down. I was thinking " what am I doing? Im trying to teach a 10 month old to talk" so I stopped.
This is the chart I used.

At 11 months old he would finish eating than do the sign for more. I was so surprised... I thought I was teaching him wrong. Turns out I wasn't, he got every single sign I was teaching him.
The communication with me and my son was amazing. I would know exactly what he wanted when he wanted it. I loved it!! He would throw less fits and the whining is dying down. He would just go right up to me and sign what he wanted. It really helped anyone who babysat him especially the daycare and my mother in law and mom. I had to tell them what meant what but it wasn't that hard to learn.

My son is now 2 and his vocabulary is amazing. He is still signing but he will say it while he signs it. When he wants something or his sippy filled up he'll just give it to me and say "more" and do the sign. When hes eating ill say are you done or do you want more. He'll do either sign and Ill know exactly what he wants and what to do to make him happy. Teaching him made it less frustrating to communicate with him. Especially now since he's 2 and hes just learning to talk. Its not just easy on me its easy on Nash. He hardly ever whines, and doesn't get mad and throw fits. ( he does throw tantrums if he wants something and he can't have it or when his tv show isnt on or when we make him come inside)

I absolutely loved teaching him. While I was teaching him, he was also teaching me. He was teaching me to be patient and the ability to be a teacher. It takes so much patience and time to teach a baby sign language. Although, once they get that in their brains they don't forget it. I also noticed that he listens a little better when I speak to him. When I call his name and tell him to do something he'll do it. For example Ill give him something and say "go throw it in the garbage please" he'll take it and do what I ask. I make sure I say please and thank you to him. He's at the point now when he sees something on the floor and picks it up. Ill say that's garbage and he'll know what to do.

This post is a little short and sweet. Mostly about how I taught my son and the benefits of teaching babies and what it does for them when they get older. I cannot believe how much Nash learns everyday. He loves to learn new things everyday and I love teaching him. I am still teaching him new ones, they will sign until they are at least 3 thats when they are more into talking.
I know that teaching him sign language was the right thing to do for my son.

I hope this post helps other moms who are teaching their kids sign language.

DIY: Sensory bag for babies/toddlers

I got all the stuff from the dollar store. My son absolutely loved this. I had to double bag mine just in case.

What you'll need:

  • Hair gel (depends on the size, the one I got fills up one small ziploc bag.)
  • Figurines (dinosaurs, bugs, cars, anything works)
  • Glitter
  • small ziploc bag.
What to do:
Fill bag up with hair gel, not all the way maybe a little more than half. Put glitter in and mix it up. Place figurines in, zip it up tight, mix it around and let your toddler explore.

Wendy's copycat frosty

I have just found the recipe from the devil!!! This tastes just like the frostys at Wendy's!! Its evil.. but
it tastes so good. The best part its only 3 ingredients!!! Ill give you the exact measurements for it,but when I made it I just guessed. The measurements make a ton of it.

What you'll need:

  • 1/2 gallon Chocolate milk ( milk with chocolate syrup works too)
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container cool whip
What to do:
Mix all ingredients together in blender. It will be milky.. that's normal. Just freeze and it will thicken up. I just added ice to mine after I mixed it and it still tastes the same.
If you want vanilla just don't add the chocolate syrup.

I do not take credit for the pictures and recipe.

Broccoli and cheese stuffed spaghetti squash

Spaghetti squash is an amazing food to cook with. Its so healthy for you and you can replace it with a lot of stuff. Here is a recipe I found and had to share for the world to see. This is so easy and delicious. On another post I did baked spaghetti squash this is a little different, but some of the same steps.
I do not take credit for this pic

What you'll need:

  • 1 full spaghetti squash cut in half, length wise
  • 2 cups of chopped broccoli
  • garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • italian seasoning
  • mozzarella or italian blend cheese.
  • Parmesan cheese, shredded
What to do:
Place tinfoil on tray than the squash. Put oil on both sides of the squash and S&P. Place the squash face down.
On one side of the squash place broccoli, cover with oil and Parmesan cheese. On the other side place any veggie you desire (asparagus, carrots, zucchini etc..) Cover in oil and Parmesan cheese and Italian mixture. Bake till the squash and veggies are soft and lightly brown. About 10-15 min.
Turn over the squash and scrape out the spaghetti and place in a large bowl. Mix in the broccoli, Italian cheese, S&P, garlic and Parmesan cheese. Mix well and place back into empty squash bowls. Take other veggie off of tray and put it on another plate. Put more cheese on top and put back in oven till the cheese is brown and melted.

DIY: Non-toxic paint

I was so excited to get my son into painting and artist work. This paint was a success, he knew exactly what to do. It was fun enough to play with and yummy enough to eat.
He is probably going to get his art skills from him mom.
Anyway here is the recipe I used to make it. I put them in leftover baby jars I had to store them. When I want to use them I just warm it up and tada!! Fun arts and crafts day.
I had to add a little more corn starch to make it more thick like paint.

What you'll need:

  • 3 Tbs sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c corn starch
  • 2 cups of water
  • Food coloring
What to do:
Mix everything in a pot and heat till warm and well mixed. Transfer into used baby jars. Add any color to each baby jar and shake. I mixed colors to make purple and other ones. It was fun:).

These are the results I got from my son. He had so much fun with it. When he was done he picked up his paper and said "see" it was so cute!!.
Next time we are doing it outside.

HAPPY SPRING!!!

No bake protein balls

These are so delicious and healthy for you. I like to eat them before and after my workouts. It was so easy to make them.
When I made them I doubled the recipe, I wanted a lot. I also had to add a little more almond butter to make it all stick together. Make sure all ingredients are organic :)
I also added crushed almonds to the recipe. I like a little crunch to my snacks.

What you'll need:

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of almond or peanut butter ( I have to use almond butter, my husband is allergic to peanuts. I prefer almond butter anyway)
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips ( I had huge ones and I crushed them up and it was a lot nicer cause you don't get a huge chocolate chip)
  • 1/3 cup of chopped almonds (optional)
  • 1/3 cup raw honey ( make sure its real honey
  • 1/4 cup of flaxseeds or chia seeds.
What to do:
Mix all ingredients well; roll into balls and freeze.

Fitness Journey

" The hardest thing about exercise is to start doing it. Once you are doing exercise regularly, the hardest thing is to stop"

For most of my life I have despised working out. I admit I was lazy and had absolutely no motivation what so ever. I never indulged in over eating, nor did I gain a ton of weight at one time. I new I needed to work out to keep my health up but I just didn't want to. I was more into video games, eating, being lazy, and watching movies than working out.
I have had a hard time with my weight for a long time now. All of the seizure medication and other junk that was put in me from having them didn't help. I knew I had to do something.
When I started having seizures again I had so much regret for not taking better care of myself. I could not do anything at all for 5 months, not even leave my bed for more than 20 minutes. I was depressed and gave up on life. Than I started having less and less a day. The doctors finally diagnosed me and started treatment. I got my strength back up and I started to run on my parents treadmill. Oh the freedom!! it felt so good to run, 30 minutes a day did so much for me back then.

Lets fast forward a couple of years. Graduating college and about to get married all in the same month. Now that's a lot of stress. Wow did calories and weight love me this year. This was when I had the excuse of " I have nowhere to workout so I can't". During this time I moved to North Dakota and worked at a gas station. O man did I gain weight. The food was so good there. I also got free food and drinks where I worked. It was terrible!!. My neighbor in our apartment complex was going to start a workout class. It was free and we would just do a video she had with her. The video was Brazil Butt Lift. Going to the class was so much fun. I meet a lot of new people and made new friends. We would all make fun of each other and complain. Then I moved back to Utah and got pregnant.

" A baby is a reason not an excuse"

O man did I come up with a ton of excuses when I was pregnant. All I did was walk... while I was pregnant and when I had my son. That wasn't enough.
After the delivery of my son I was so lazy. Although I did have a hard, long and very painful delivery. I tore everything; I waddled around for a month or so. But when I started to heal thats when the excuses got bad. I didn't want to do anything at all, except sit on my fat ass all day and eat. I came up with a ton of excuses not to workout; like "I don't have time" or " I don't have the motivation or energy to do it"

"No time. Tired. Sore. Dirty workout clothes. Blisters. It's too hot. Don't like sweating.
My kids wont let me. Hard day at work. Need a break. Great day at work. Need a reward.
Just one day off. No motivation.
Excuses will always be there for you.
Opportunity won't."

About a year after I had my son my husband bought me Beachbody on demand. Beachbody on demand is a all access pass to the most popular fitness programs on your laptop. This includes all P90x, all Insanity, Brazil Butt lift, and much more. I was interested in finishing Brazil Butt Lift since I wasn't able to finish it in North Dakota. I asked my husband that's what I wanted and he got me that and more.
Brazil Butt lift results. Left is day 1,
Middle is 3 months right is last day.
I admit I was kinda like aww man I have to workout now. But once I started I could't stop.

"Once you see results it becomes an addiction"

As soon as I got the program I started immediately. I noticed big, huge results just from Brazil Butt Lift. I did it for 4 months and I could not believe the results. Within a month I noticed my butt was really being lifted and more firm. What really got me going was his saying " don't settle for less", that kept me going. I only lost about 5 pounds but I lost 3 pant sizes. From a 13 to a 10. What an amazing feeling!!! For finishing this program I got a shirt and a pair of booty shorts.

"You aren't fat, you have fat. "FAT" does not define you."

Once I finished Brazil Butt Lift I wanted to do more. I had to do more to get more results. My husband talked me into doing P90x, I said hell no, I am not doing that workout... its scary. From watching the infomercials about it I would always think I would never do that workout. I was more into stretching and muscle building than cardio. I HATED cardio!! I was thinking that's all it was; no it wasn't. I started it and I actually had fun with it. The instructor made it even more fun. He even made the cardio workouts fun. Yes I had to give it 50 min to an hour of my time, but it was all worth it in the end. With this workout I wanted to quit so bad, but I remembered that there was a little someone watching me. So I kept going, and the "bring it" saying Tony would say also the " do your best and forget the rest". I love it!!
After
Before
I finished P90x strong by loosing 11 pounds and dropping 2 pant sizes. From size 10 to size 8. I was on a role.
For finishing P90x right at the end of the year I got a bunch of cool stuff. First I got my P90x shirt for finishing the program. Than I got a 21 day fix cookbook, another shirt, and some Beachbody performance drinks. I received a lot of stuff just for finishing it.  The pictures you see are my results from P90X

P90X  is my partying
Never ever had abs in my life. I now have them (some)
Whey protein is my beer
the warm up is my shots
adrenaline is my buzz
and the pain the next morning is my HANGOVER.

I think the hardest part in all this was squeezing it into my busy mom schedule. Being a full time mom, wife, and a full time job takes a lot out of ya. Yet there is that drive that gets me going. Its like a little voice in my head saying if I stop now I will probably never start again and gain all that weight back... ha who needs a personal trainer when you have that. Whenever I miss a workout I always thought my abs would go away and I would gain like 10 pounds... Don't worry I didn't.

ME

After P90X I started looking for another program to do. I looked into P90X3 and started it right away. This one was much more easier than the first one. It was 30 min for 90 days. The only thing was that the workouts were more intense. You have to fit all of that workout in 30 min and Tony Horton makes it work. I think the workouts in P90X3 were a lot more fun that the first one. For P90X3 my favorite workouts were the yoga, dynamics and eccentric lower. They were so fun and the eccentric lower works your lower part of your body. I call it leg day cause its all about your legs and I love it!!!. I loved how it made my back more toned than ever and tightening up not only my legs but my stomach and butt too.
This program took me a while to finish. I missed 2 weeks of it. I kept getting sick and we went on a
week long cruise. After all of that I had such a hard time getting into my routine especially the cruise. I had the flu for a week and that took me a while too because I had nothing to burn. All my energy was going into getting rid of this sickness. I got way behind on this program, but I was determined to finish it strong. I did finish strong and more accomplished with my body than ever. I didn't get major results from this workout but I'm proud of my results I got. I lost 6 pounds and built a lot of muscle and toned my body.  I feel more flexible and toned. The pictures you see to the left are my results from P90X3.
Celebrating one year on Beachbody

All this working out made time go by way fast. I have been a member of Beachbody on demand for a year now. I have only done these 3 workout programs. But I have had amazing results.  I've seen pictures of me a year ago and I can't believe how sloppy I was. A lot can happen in one year. I am so excited to see what this year has to offer me and Beachbody.

During my workout programs I admit I have not been on a diet. I love to eat and that was my biggest weakness. I didn't eat a whole lot. I just ate in portions. Mainly my soda intake and sweets. I would drink a ton of tea and water; over 52 ounces of water. I would make sure I drink a ton of water everyday. I know I should follow the diets that the workouts provide you, but I just couldn't. I am watching what I eat and I do make sure I workout everyday. I know I would loose more weight if I was on a strict diet. Yes, my weight would go up and down, but I'm still getting toned and loosing weight... slowly.

"I workout because it's good for me
Also, because I like to eat. A lot."

Once I was in my 12th week of P90X I have noticed a lot of people noticing me more and more. I have had people say " you look amazing" I've had a bunch of college students and vendors from work talk to me and than I mention my son and they ask "how old are you?" and I'll answer and they'll say "wow you look way younger than your age".  I work at a gas station bakery and I can't wear my wedding ring. I have tried and it rips a hole in my glove, I'm also afraid of it falling off. Since I've been loosing weight my wedding ring doesn't fit me anymore. Me being noticed makes me feel like all my hard work is doing something. Even my husband is amazed. He told me I'm the only one he knows that has finished P90X.  I'm not trying to brag or anything but I'm trying to say that people notice and think what is she doing to get amazing results. I have been asked that and I tell them what I do.

"It takes 4 week for you to see your body changing
It takes 8 weeks for your friends and family
It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world
KEEP GOING!!

Ever since I had my son and when I was sick for so long I have been so uncomfortable in my own body. I felt so loose and like everything was so jiggly. I couldn't wear certain pants or leggings cause my butt and legs would jiggle so bad and the "cottage cheese" was horrible. Working out got rid of my cellulite, my jiggly butt, and extra body fat from child birth and pregnancy. All of my baby weight is gone!!!! I have never loved my body till now. I feel so comfortable; I started taking more pictures to show everyone that anyone could do it. All you need is a little push and motivation and BOOM!! Hot ass body for the world to be jealous of.

" There is nothing better than feeling exhausted after a really great workout
and then falling into bed knowing that you worked your ass off"
One year ago

Now
!39 pounds
size 8
I lost a total of 25 pounds and dropped 5 pant sizes in a year. It feels really nice to be able to keep up with my toddler instead of huffing and puffing while chasing him.
