Katsudon buri かつどんぶリ (aka teriyaki bowl)

This is one of my dads recipes he would make when he was on his mission in Japan and it is amazing so i have to share it.This is one of many Japanese dishes i will share.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 pieces of frozen chicken defrosted and cut into cubes
  • soy sauce
  • sugar
  • water
  • 2-3 eggs
  • half an onion cut up
  • Rice

Prep:
Cook onions till they are clear add chicken and cook till done.
For the sauce add soy sauce, water, and sugar in a cup. About a 1/2 c of soy sauce water it down  and add sugar. Taste till just right, it should taste like sweet soy sauce. I use about 1-2 cups of sugar the water is to water down the soy sauce so it wont be as strong.
Cook eggs and mix with chicken mixture then add about 1/4 cup of the sauce and cook till chicken has soaked it up.Add 1/2 c or more of the sauce to the mixture again and let it simmer till the sauce is almost soaked in it should look a little runny.
When finished put on top of rice and enjoy i like to have leftover sauce to put on rice thats why you make so much.
If you get confused or have questions let me know my dad taught me it and its kind of a guessing game with the sauce so i apologize for not having exact measurements.

Oil Pulling

It does sound weird doesn't it. I have been trying this for 2 weeks now. I found this on pinterest and i wanted to give my input on it.
For those of you who haven't heard of it oil pulling is a safe and healthy way to get rid of toxins in your body. What you do is get a tbl of fine oil like olive oil, coconut, or sunflower and you swish it in you mouth for 20 min mainly through your teeth. When you are done spit it in the trash, not the sink and don't swallow it. I have been doing it in the morning before i eat so i wont gag and throw up. I'm gonna try it later in the day and see what happens. What it does is it pulls all of those harmful toxins out from your mouth and into the oil. It also helps with detox, teeth whitening, some weight loss, hair nutrients, freshens breath and other health issues. It does taste weird and the texture is unbearable, but from my findings it works. I've noticed that my mouth feels fresher, teeth are cleaner and breath in nice. I would prefer coconut than olive it taste less like oil and more like coconut.
I will continue to try and see if I can notice anymore changes and let ya'all know.
*update*
I have been doin it right before i go to bed and it works too. So you dont have to do it right in the morning. You can if you want.
