50 first dates; married with kids edition

I'm not exactly gonna have 50 ideas and tips. I'm gonna gradually add to this list and if anyone have new ideas let me know. Ill add and credit you.
The first date is always so exciting. Where you go? what you do? what kind of person you are going with?.. the questions are endless.
Once you tie the knot then what. Do you stop going on dates? Can you re live that first kiss? What do you do once you have kids and you both work?
Your in the right place.
It is hard when you both have a full time job. Especially when you come home take care of the baby, clean kitchen, load dishwasher, cook dinner, laundry, and get ready for bed. Its hectic!!

Here are some ideas for 50 first date ideas: newly wed and kids marriage edition.

  1. Cook together; kind of an obvious one. I love to cook with my husband. There is nothing sexier than a man who can cook.  I learn from him and he learns from me. I put my son in his high chair and feed him and play or put him on the floor if he wants to roll around. For older kids have them help, its a lot more fun with more people:) Make it more fun by listening to music or get in a food fight. If its just you two....well lets leave it there.
  2. Go shoot bows or guns together; let the kids stay with the grandparents or sisters and go and shoot something. Its so much fun. Me and my husband always went and shot our bows together. He taught me a lot of stuff I didn't know about. Have a little fun and see who can shoot the furthest.
  3. Make a "date in a box" and give it to him/her for valentines day; there are a lot of these you can build. From movie to that special night. An example is indoor camp out, a bottle of wine ( or whatever you pick), 2 wine glasses, mini fondue warmer, strawberry's, marshmallows, graham cracker, and chocolate to melt.
  4. Stargazing; use to do this all the time. Whats really fun is get your truck and fill it with blankets and pillows and cuddle up. Now that's extreme stargazing. With kids bring them along or leave them with grandma, and enjoy your time together. To spice it up bring a bottle of wine or sparkling cider and glasses.
  5. Go up the canyon and enjoy the scenery; ya this sounds a little weird but my husband would take me up to the top of the canyon and we would look for elk and deer. Now we take a little someone with us and its way fun. I absolutely loved this, he would show me his spots where the elk were bugling. We stay till night than we would enjoy the starts. I would tell him the constellations. I thought it was really romantic when its just the two of us. Bring blankets cause it'll get cold.
  6. Do a project together or finish something; I have been having a lot of fun finishing our basement with my husband. Also doing yard work and helping him build his shed. I get that one on one with him. I usually help him while our son sleeps or visiting his grandmas.
  7. Watch a movie; another obvious one. Me and my husband do this all the time. Usually when its bedtime for the baby. I like to make a snack and get a drink for the movie. I like to watch a T.V series with him too. Start a new one or re watch an old one.
  8. Eat dinner together once in a while; I always make sure we do this especially on a Sunday. When its summer we'll go outside on our patio set and eat too. We do the same with lunch and breakfast. Its even more fun with a little one by your side.
  9. Buy hunting tags together; go hunting together, be each others hunting guide. Find each other a nice buck or bull to shoot.
  10. Take a bath together; ya I'm gonna say stuff like this. I admit its fun. If your not into baths take a shower. Put on some music and light some candles and relax.
  11. Play a video game; whats really fun is mario cart or super mario brothers wii. Add a remote for kids to play too. Eat snacks and drink some drinks and enjoy the time.
  12. Order food in; Pizza, Chinese or whatever your hungry for. You guys worked all day you deserve to take it easy. Add a movie to it to make it more fun. Order more for the kids.
  13. Plan a vacation; if you plan on going plan it together. Activities, shows, hotel and restaurants look up ideas and put them together.
  14. Go to the park; take your kids to the park and let them play while you guys get some alone time. Go down the slide with the kids or push them on the swing. Whats even funner is to walk to the park.
  15. Horseback riding; this is really fun. Find a good trail and enjoy the scenery. Pick your favorite horse (or mule) and saddle up.
  16. Go fishing; sit back and relax and wait for them to bite. Enjoy a snack or two and talk to each other.
  17. Start a garden together; pick what you both want to plant and help each other water and take care of them everyday. When its time to harvest go out and pick them.
  18. Go for a bike ride; these are always fun. Go somewhere new or go around the neighborhood. Ride to the gas station and rest and get a snack.
  19. Go to a college football game; Me and my husband did and we had a blast. It was homecoming and we got our faces painted and decorated hats together. You could also go to a volleyball, baseball basketball etc...
  20. Go to a local festival; where we live we have a Scandinavian festival. Its so fun we go every year and get the Swedish meatballs and a twister drink. Sometimes we'll stay and watch the free
concert or walk up and down the street and look at the vendors.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW. MORE TO COME.
