Chicken spaghetti casserole

Credit to The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond who is an amazing cook and I absolutely love her recipe book I am only missing one of her cook books. So on this recipe if you don't do exactly what it says it wont turn out. When I first made it i didn't and it didn't turn out right.  I don't add green pepper or pimentos I did add green peppers one time and it tasted really good. I also don't cook it for 45 min cause your mainly melting the cheese you can it you want.
If you want more here is her website http://thepioneerwoman.com/

What you'll need:
  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken
  • 3 cups Dry Spaghetti, Broken Into Two Inch Pieces
  • 2 cans Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Finely Diced Green Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Finely Diced Onion
  • 1 jar (4 Ounce) Diced Pimentos, Drained
  • 2 cups Reserved Chicken Broth From Pot
  • 1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon (to 1/4 Teaspoon) Cayenne Pepper
  •  Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Additional Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

What to do:

Cook chicken in boiling pot of water. Cook spaghetti in same chicken broth until al dente. Do not overcook. When spaghetti is cooked, combine with remaining ingredients except additional 1 cup sharp cheddar.
Place mixture in casserole pan and top with remaining sharp cheddar. Cover and freeze up to six months, cover and refrigerate up to two days, or bake immediately: 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly. (If the cheese on top starts to get too cooked, cover with foil).

Beauty tip: easy curling hair

I found out that this is a good way to curl your hair without damaging it. Yes you are using a curling iron or straightener but the stuff you put on protects it. I've done it to see and my hair has volume and amazing, big  curls. My hair is so soft and it smells good, also its not greasy. Usually when I do this without the spray it burns my hair and it stinks.
Sea spray:
  • 1 tsp coconut oil ( you can use more just remember coconut oil eats hair color so i used less cause my hair is colored)
  • 1 tsp Real sea salt
  • 1 tbl any hair gel
  • spray bottle
  • 1 cup warm water

What you'll need:
  • Sea spray (ingredients above)
  • Straightener or curling iron
  • clip
  • hair shine spray (optional)
What to do:
I like to use a hair clip and do it in layers. Grab a small to medium piece of hair and spray the sea spray you made on it. I didn't soak it just enough to get it a little wet.

Next act like your straightening the piece of hair and twist it around the straightener and glide down till it comes out. you can use a curling iron by wrapping your hair around it to make it curl.

It should look like the curl in the picture to your left. Keep doing that to your whole head.

It should come out looking like the pictures you see. I like the. spray cause It makes it curl faster and you get big volumized curls. It looks better in real life.

Last add hair shine if you want

How I got my baby on a good sleep schedule (newborn-4 months)

This is what I did to get my baby on a good sleep schedule. I just kept doing it every night and at 2 almost 3 months he was sleeping through the night. He does have those bad nights still where he wont go to sleep or wake up at 4. Its once in a while that he'll wake up but go right back to sleep. Right now he goes to sleep between 9-10 and sleep till 7 or 8.  All babies are different you are more than welcome to use this method. Hope it works.

First off i would set a night (quiet) time. I started off at 8 when he was a newborn and gradually went to 9.  When it was quiet time I would turn off all lights except a lamp or two or a dim light. All he could hear was the T.V and me humming or singing a lullaby.

Now if its bath day I would give him a bath between 8-8:30 when it was the 8 schedule I would do it at 7. I would use a certain kind of soap and lotion. I use the nighttime kind so when he smells that lavender and vanilla that means its quiet time. During the bath I would talk to him in a low voice and let him sit in the tub for a couple of minutes (while I watched him of course), at least 10 min so the warm bath would make him tired. Also his fussy time is between 7 and bedtime so the bath is a good thing to keep him occupied and not be fussy. If I wasn't giving him a bath I would just put the certain lotion on him and make sure he can smell it. I would even put it on me, mainly my arms and chest.

After the bath I would take him into his room which is dim lighted. Enough light for me to see what I'm doing. Put his diaper on, than the lotion all over his body. I would concentrate more on his head and face so he could smell it. I would talk in a low tone voice and hum a lullaby. Put his pjs on, swaddle him and than feed him.

This might get a little confusing. This is for if you are bottle feeding and nursing it could work if you are just nursing.  For feeding time I would either feed him before the bath depends on how hungry he is. But I would feed him only half or 3 oz and feed him the rest after the bath or nurse him. He is eating 4-6 oz. Give him a bath and take him into the living room (which is dim) make his bottle. Now that he is a little older and almost 4 months I use rice cereal. For feeding I would use the gentle for fussiness and gas formula instead of the regular formula I use. I would only use the gentle kind during fussy time (and it actually works, I would just buy a small jar of it). I would mix the gentle and rice cereal together. I would only use the rice cereal before bedtime, but just one time not throughout the night and me putting him to bed. If he hasn't eaten and he has had a bath I would gradually feed him 4-6 oz. Its a pain but it works. I would feed him 3 oz or 4 oz with the rice cereal or nurse him while holding him and humming. If hes still hungry I would make another 3 or 2 oz and put him in his crib and prop it. Also is you have one of those toys that you hang on the crib that move and plays songs, ya those are useful. I would only turn it on during nap and bedtime. If you nursed him give him 2-3 oz with the rice cereal. I know that propping is bad but I am constantly checking on him and watching him on our baby monitor video (those are amazing invest in one!!).

I gradually got him use to the rice cereal by giving him 1 tsp during lunch time just to see how he would do. After he gets use to it i would start giving it to him before bed and 2-3 tsp. This depends on how much you are feeding him. For 4 oz I would do 2 and a half tsp of rice cereal. 2 oz just 1 tsp, if its more just raise it to 3 and 3 and a half so on and so fourth. I need to mention the bottle, I use a different bottle for the rice cereal. I got those cheap bottles from wal-mart and cut a small X on the top of the nipple so the rice cereal will flow freely instead of getting stuck. After he has finished it with that bottle I would use the ones I normally use which is the Nuk bottles. I introduced the rice cereal and the new nipple at the same time. He didn't mind the new nipple and took his food like normal.

I would just stick to this schedule no matter where I was and it worked for me. Like I said before It prob will work or it won't. This is just my experiment and sharing it to help other mothers. It doesn't work with my baby every night, but he's getting there. Usually if he cried after he ate and everything I would let him cry for a couple of min and than if he still is than go and calm him and put him back in his crib or nurse him. He doesn't really eat he just uses is as a pacifier. Hes not a fan of pacifiers.

Try it and let me know if it works for you. I would like to know:)

Teriyaki noodle bowl

This was a huge hit at my house. So delish. For the noodles I used chow mein noodles and it didn't work your suppose to have soba noodles and I didn't want to order them from online. So next time I'm gonna use regular noodles. For the sauce I added a little of actual teriyaki sauce I got from costco and it tasted the same.

What you'll need:
        Teriyaki sauce-

  • 1/4 c soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar (I ran out of rice so I used regular vinegar and it turned out just fine)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ginger
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
      Veggies and noodles-

  • 1 lb of frozen veggies or fresh
  • 8 oz soba noodles or regular
  • veggie oil
What to do:
Cook noodles till tender
Mix all ingredients for the sauce in a bowl or measuring cup.
Put frozen veggies in pan with veggie oil. Cook till almost tender and add sauce. Mix in, and let it simmer for about 5 min or till veggies are tender. Sauce should be thick and creamy.
Add drained noodles to sauce/veggie mix and stir to combine.
Enjoy:)

5 ways to have fun with kids (more to come)

My son isn't old enough yet to enjoy these but i will definitely trying when he gets older

  • tape glow sticks to the ceiling fan, turn off light and watch it go.
  • When you get those huge boxes in the mail. Put your kid in it and give them crayons and let them go at it with their art skills.
  • Also with boxes, take them apart and lay them on your stairs and tada a slide.
  • Glow in the dark bubbles??? well just cut open some glow sticks and dump it in the bubble stuff. Blow bubbles in the dark and watch them glow.
  • Grab a huge tarp, lay on grass, nail it down, put hose on it and slide away.

Olive Garden copycat five cheese ziti al forno

This is amazing and it tastes just like the dish you get at olive garden and its a lot cheaper!!!. I added meat to it and it tasted great. I forgot to add the Ricotta cheese and it tasted just fine.

What you'll need:

  • 1 jar of Alfredo sauce
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fontina cheese
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Pasta -cooked
  • Meat - I used beef
What to do:
Preheat oven at 375 degrees- grease a 9 by 13 casserole dish.

Cook pasta, while pasta is cooking cook beef if you are adding meat. Add whole jar of alfredo sauce and marinara sauce. For the cheese I just bought the Italian Blend in a bag already shredded and it was much easier. The only cheese it didnt have is the Ricotta cheese.  I got the one that has 2 cups in it and I added about half of the bag to the sauce.

Cook the sauce till it starts bubbling, stir. Add the sauce to the pasta, stir to mix the pasta and sauce really good and put that into the casserole dish. Top the other half of the bag of cheese.

Bake for 20 min or until cheese is melted.

Crock pot lava cake

So good!!!! instead of adding the whole bag of choco chips add half so it wont be so chocolaty. Its rich watch out. (credited to http://jamiecooksitup.net/2013/07/chocolate-lava-cake-crock-pot/)

What you'll need:

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/4 c of milk
  • 1/2 c of veggie oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 c milk (for the pudding)
  • 1 (`12 oz) bag of chocolate chips
  • parchment paper
What to do:
1. Grab a 3-4 quart crock pot and line it with parchment paper. Spray the inside of the paper with cooking spray. The parchment paper helps the cake cook without burning along the edges. You can make it without the paper, just be sure to watch it closely.
2. Find yourself a nice chocolate cake mix and pour it into your stand mixer or medium-sized mixing bowl.
3. Add 1 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup oil and 3 eggs. Beat on low-speed for 1 minutes. Scrape the bottom of the bowl and beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes or until the batter in nice and glossy.
4. Pour the batter into the lined crock pot.
5. Pour one small box of chocolate pudding into your stand mixer or medium-sized mixing bowl. Add 2 cups cold milk and beat it until the pudding thickens. Should take about 3-4 minutes.
6. Pour the pudding over the top of the cake batter. Don’t stir it. Really, cross my heart and hope to die. It will cook up best if you leave the layers be.
7. Grab a bag of milk chocolate chips and pour the pretty little things all over the top of the pudding. Again, please do not stir it.
8. Cover the crock and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours, or until the top of the cake is set.
Enjoy:)

Facts about postpartum and Newborn care

Yeay!! you made it. Congrats, welcome to motherhood. Here are some facts about postpartum and newborn care from my experience. All people are different.

  • You will bleed for about a month and it sucks. You cant use tampons, all you use is a giant pad and underwear that looks like a diaper. Get as much as you can with the victorias secret hospital brand underwear (lol) and pads. Also ask for a lot of the numbing spray and cooling pads.
  • When you leave the hospital grab as much stuff as you can. Your paying for it why not.
  • After you have the baby you will be exhausted. Your body went through hell and back give it a break.
  • When you have kids you never get a day off. Even when your sick. You cant get sick at all.
  • Your gonna spend a lot of money on formula if you are not breast feeding or if your having a hard time with your milk coming in. Buy the parents choice I save $10 on a big jar of it.
  • Bills suck!!! after your home for a couple of weeks thats when the bills start comin. Usually they mix your exams in with your hospital bill. It is very expensive to have a baby. But the
good thing is...is that you can put them on a payment plan and pay them monthly. Even after you have the baby there are gonna be more. Especially if your baby has jaundice, or problems with delivery. I had to stay 2 extra days cause I got a fever during labor and my baby had to stay 3 days cause I had a fever and he had trouble breathing and he had jaundice.
  • Speaking of jaundice...jaundice is the yellowing of the skin and eyes. And when your baby has it they check the bilirubin. If its above 15 you have to put your baby under a certain light that the hospital gives you. It is normal for it to be high after birth. Bilirubin is a yellow substance that the body creates when it replaces old red blood cells. The liver helps break down the substance so it can be removed from the body in the stool. Thats what causes jaundice. To prevent this put your baby under sunlight.
  • It will hurt and feel weird down under. I got stitches and it sucked I couldn't stand for more that 10 min at a time. Whenever I would stand up I would swell really bad and would have to sit down. And you'll have a hard time walking, you'll do more of a waddle.
  • Don't plan on having sex for a while. At least 2 months or after 6 week check up:).Sorry its gonna suck.
  • At first your baby will sleep all day and stay up all night. So no sleep for you and your husband. When the baby naps you nap. Don't clean or get caught up just take a nap and relax. You can worry about housework later. My baby started sleeping through the night at 3 months. But like I have been saying all babies are different.
  • If you have a boy get him circumcised ASAP (if you want). He will be in pain for a couple of days. Buy a huge jar of patrolium jelly and slab it on his diaper like crazy. You don't want his little wee wee getting stuck on the diaper. Also buy infant tylonol it saved me from goin crazy. Make sure you give it to him every 4 hrs so it won't fade. When you give him a bath be careful just gradually put warm water on it, it'll probably feel good to him.
  • You will get pooped on, puked on , spit on and peed on  there is no way around it sorry so get use to it. When your baby poops you'll shout for joy cause no more belly ache and he isnt constipated.
  • You will become a morning person:)
  • While breast feeding don't drink to much caffeine. It affects the baby. Also don't eat Brussels sprouts, broccoli, some chocolate, and spicy things it will give the baby gas and it sucks.
  • Your baby will have hiccups.. all the time. And sometimes it will hurt him/her.
  • You will not be able to go to the bathroom for a couple of days. And when you do it will hurt.
  • Watch out for hemorrhoids. I never had them till now and they hurt and they suck. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in your butt. Get the hemorrhoid cream and pads it helps a lot.
  • Things will be bruised. My hips and vagina got bruised.
  • There will be people to help you nurse. All my nurses helped me get him latched on and to nurse.
  • At 6 week check up for you think about birth control. I got the IUD and it isn't that bad I couldn't feel it when she put it in. But you will start having normal cycles in 6 months or so.
  • Shots suck for you and baby. Vaccinations are important and its sad to see your baby go through that.
  • Don't take your baby out for a while. I started taking my baby out to visit people at a month old or older and to wal mart when he was almost 3 months. I had my baby right during flu season.
  • Gradually plan on a sleeping schedule for your baby. Don't rush it, give him/her signs that its bedtime. What I do is I put a certain lotion on him and on me so when he smells it that means its bedtime, its a night time lotion that has lavender in it. Also I don't make eye contact with him and I dim all the lights in the house. I sing him certain lullabys and hardly talk to him. I give him a bath every other day anight. I started out doing it at 7 and he was in bed at 8:30 now I give him a bath at 8 and its quiet time from then till morning. He passes out at 9:30 and wakes up at 7. I also feed him before a bath so he'll be happy during the bath and relax. Then at 9 Ill nurse him till be falls asleep. If he has his bath and a clean diaper and a full belly I'll just put him in his crib and he'll fall asleep on his own.
  • Teach the baby to sleep on his/her own. Babies have a hard time getting to that REM cycle and they sometimes need help.  Also teach the baby to sooth himself. But wait till he/she is a couple of weeks old. I started when my baby was about a month old for him to sooth himself.
  • Watch your babies head. Some baby's heads get a cone head. The cone head will go away but your baby will favor a side and that side will be flat.
  • Learn to swaddle. Best thing ever, get a good swaddling blanket.
  • Let the baby have a "cry it out" time. If your baby is fussy for no reason stick him/her in the crib and leave. Go outside and breath and wait for 5-10 min if he is still crying go and cuddle him for a min.
  • Babies will have a fussy time every day. This is normal, my baby has fussy time from 7-bedtime. That's why I give him baths at night so he can keep focused on something other than being fussy.
  • Teach your baby to nurse and to bottle feed. Well you can if you want, I did and its nice for when I'm gone. I also give him formula.
  • I'm sorry for saying this but you will have what I call a "pudge". Its that flab left over from having a baby. Ya you just had a baby don't worry about it. It will go away in time, your uterus went from a cherry size to a watermelon. It'll probably take at least 6 months for your uterus to go back to normal. If you are breast feeding that will help it shrink and it'll help you loose that baby fat.
  • Have fun and dress your baby up and take a lot of pictures. My baby is gonna be 4 months already, I wish he was tiny again. So don't wish all those tiny moments away.
  • You will probably get depressed. Its cause you had a baby in you and now since its out you loose that sensation.
  • Your stretch marks will itch and hurt. Mine were deep and short so they weren't that big but they itched and hurt. Keep that lotion on them and keep them moisturized it will make them feel better. Don't worry about getting rid of those just yet. Just concentrate on your new life.
  • When you get home the first couple of days your boobs will hurt like hell. They will swell and get hot like crazy. If you don't pump or use nursing pads you will leak milk EVERYWHERE!!! All boobs are different. Hop in the shower and let the hot water run on your boobs, it feels so good. My milk production got short when my baby was almost 2 months. I would drink odouls (non alcoholic beer) and I found out root beer works really good too.
  • Talk to your baby and just cuddle him/her. Enjoy it.
  • Get your baby use to loud noises. My baby sleeps through me cleaning, talking, my husband cutting tile, people working on our basement. He still has a hard time with the vacuum haha.

Facts about labor and delivery

Welcome to the birthing process. This is a big time for you. Here are some facts from my experience. All people are different and all labor and delivery are different.

  • If you get induced be prepared for a long day. When i got induced it took 12 hrs for that to be over. Also its so much better if you go into labor yourself than being induced. (from what I heard).
  • Wear your hair up. Put it in a ponytail or put a head band on. I didnt and my hair was all wet from sweat and it was gross.
  • If you get an epidural eat a lot of ice chips. During it you'll be extremely thirsty and stiff.
  • There will be blood. Lots and lots of blood.
  • Just breath; it will hurt but it will all be worth it in the end. Hang in there.
  • Watch for labor signs and make sure that they are real.
  • Yes the epidural is scary. When I got it I didn't feel a thing and I felt sick during it but it really wasn't that bad. After I got it I felt like I was on a cloud. It was the best thing ever. I would sit there and be like "O look I'm having a contraction and I cant feel it". There are more options for pain relief if you choose not to do the epidural. If you do get one eat and drink a lot before cause you can't have any food or water till that baby is out of you.
  • You can do natural birth. But be prepared to be in extreme pain. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't get pain relief. You'll have pain in your back, stomach and down under.
  • Do the skin on skin if you can. Best thing I ever did was hold my baby right after he came into this world.
  • If you need a c-section do it. I didn't get one so I don't know how it feels.
  • It will exhaust you. Your body is doing a big thing and trying to help you know when to push.
  • It might hurt. I had back labor and horrible hip pain even with the epidural in.
  • Some people push forever and are in labor forever. I was in labor for almost a whole day. I pushed for about 4 hours. Some people push for like 15 minutes.
  • The first baby is gonna be the hardest. Cause your body is trying to figure out how to make it and get it out of your body. But it depends on the person.
  • You'll probably get an episiotomy. An episiotomy is a surgical cut from the vagina to the anus to make the delivery go by faster.I didn't get one cause i tore the crap out of everything and got a lot of stitches.
  • You might have to get forceps or the vacuum assistance. I got the vacuum and it helped a lot. My baby got stuck in the birth canal.
  • When the baby comes out its gonna feel really weird. My baby came shooting out and my belly instantly shrunk. I had to catch my breath when he came out. That was the weirdest feeling I have ever had.
  • Before you go to the hospital make sure you have everything packed and ready to go. That includes the baby's coming home outfit and other important things.
  • Make friends with the nurses. Trust me its worth it. but I really wish I would have brought some cookies or a treat for them.
  • Your gonna cry....a lot. I have never cried so hard in my life when I saw my baby for the first time. (well maybe from my hip pain too.)
  • You might scream. Haha I did. I screamed like they did in the movies. Mainly cause of hip pain and I just wanted the baby out of me.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions. I asked a ton of questions and my nurses didn't mind at all.
  • Don't have too many people in the delivery room. Its nice to have a couple of nurses, the doctor, and your husband. I had some nurses, the doctor, the anesthesiologist, my mom, and husband. So that wasn't too many people.
  • You are gonna be naked and spread eagle throughout the process so get use to it. You'll be in pain so you won't even care.
There is more info about this subject on babycenter.com.

Easter egg wreath tutorial

This is so cute and so simple and cheap. Try it out. You can get the eggs for a bag of 40 at wal-mart for 1.97. All i needed was one bag. The wreath wire i got at wal-mart too for 2.47 i think i could be wrong about the price. o and i was doing my oil pulling while i made this.

What you need:

  • Any kind of plastic eggs. I chose pastel cause they were cheap.
  • Wreath shape
  • grass
  • glue gun
  • anything you want to put in the middle

Now start at any place and start gluing the eggs on the wire.

Keep goin till you meet in the middle. You can do a second layer if you want.
Do the same with the second layer.
Now add grass be careful not to burn yourself. I would bunch up some and put glue on it and stick it where i want it. Or put glue on the place you want the grass and stick it there....carefully. You can add as much grass as you want.

Trim some of the grass and ta da the finished product. I added the little bunny cause i thought it was cute.
Hope you try it out..enjoy.

Coconut oil hair mask

With the oil pulling I have also been putting the oil in my hair. I know it sounds weird but I like it.
What I did I got my coconut oil i didn't really need to melt it cause it was already kinda melted. I went from root to tip and massaged it in my scalp while I was putting it in. It actually felt really nice kinda like a spa treatment for your hair. Brush your hair if you can with the oil in it to stimulate the scalp. I left in in for 20-30 min you can leave it in longer if you want. After, I took a shower and did my hair. The only thing i didn't like was that my hair was not soft at all it was just hard to run my fingers through it. When I woke up the next morning my hair was really wavy. I straightened my hair and put straightening gel in it too. I think it was because my hair is getting use to the texture. But like I said I liked it when it was in my hair
Now i heard that you can add essential oils to it. I haven't done that yet I don't really own any, well I do have lavender. Also if you want to deep condition your hair leave in the oil longer and put a shower cap on;)
So what the oil does it helps with growing your hair out, dandruff, dry scalp, keeps your hair clean, removes build up from products and elements, and split ends. So far I haven't noticed anything. Well I've only done it once so far. I'm gonna do it once a week and see what happens.
I keep y'all updated.
*Update*
So I went and got my hair colored and cut and my salon person said that my hair was soft and shiny and was wondering what I have been doing. Hehe I told her about the mask and oil pulling. She said she's gonna try it now. Anyway I heard to blow dry it when the time is up. Just till its a little dry then take a shower like normal. They said that it exfoliated the hair follicles like when you massage it. So I'm gonna try that to see if it works.
*Update*
I found out that the coconut oil makes hair color fade. I got my hair colored like a couple of weeks before I did my treatment and it faded bad just by the one treatment. So this is a warning if you spend a lot of money on your hair don't do the treatment.

Facts about pregnancy

Yep welcome to pregnancy. Here is some info on the whole kit and caboodle from my experience. All people are different, this could happen or it wont at all.
Pregnancy:

  • Start buying diapers and wipes that are on sale as soon as you find out. Usually newborn to size 2, don't buy a ton of newborn diapers. Buy more size 1 and 2, they are in those sizes longer. My baby was in newborns for about a month. I bought 2-3 big boxes of them and i was good. I had to go out and buy a bag of 40 one time. But if you need them go get them especially if your baby is a preemie. I prefer Huggies. For size 1 i liked the Pampers Swaddlers they last all night and they absorb really good. I didnt like Pampers baby dry, the pee would ride up my babies back...ewwwww.
  • Enjoy spending time with your spouse. You will be so busy taking care of the baby and wont have time for each other. As the baby gets older you have more time.
  • Go on one last vacation together. I went to vegas for my b-day. I had fun but I couldn't have that kind of fun. It was worth it though. You will have a hard time going on vacations after the baby is born.
  • Enjoy sleeping in. Ya you will never sleep in again. Your sleep schedule will be all whacked out. From getting up every 3 hours to staying up all night.
  • Don't lay on your back when you get 7-9 weeks pregnant. It will make the baby lay on that sciatic nerve and it kills. I did a couple of times and my back killed me. Also dont lay on the side your bladder is on I think its the left side. The baby will be laying on that too so for a couple of months just lay on your right side.
  • The baby will constantly kick you in the bladder and ribs. It will also be laying on your bladder all the time.
  • Get a good packing list. I have a lot of ideas on that on my pinterest on pregnancy board. The link to my pinterest is on your right.
  • Watch delivery videos. Epidural, natural and all kind just to see what it looks like. But don't scare yourself.
  • GET A BOPPY!!! they are amazing!!!
  • Get your hair cut on your last month. Just to freshen up:)
  • Maternity pictures??? I did them and im glad i did. I love looking at them and all the memories i had. I didn't take a lot. If you want a good photographer that is good in price i know someone she did my maturitys, bridals, engagements, and newborn and soon to be family pics and 6 month pics. This is her facebook page   https://www.facebook.com/CHBphotos
  • Birth plan. personally i think its a waste of time. The birth of your baby will be a surprise (maybe) it depends on the pregnancy and person. My baby was 2 weeks early and i couldn't even function cause he came so fast.
  • I heard not to cross your legs. It can clog some kind of vein or something to the fetus. I didn't throughout my pregnancy. I believed it just in case.
  • If you are RH negative ( if your blood type is negative)  you'll be required to get the rhogam shot. They suck but it will keep your baby safe.
  •  Yes pregnancy sucks at times just remember there are people who had it worse. I was just grateful that I could get pregnant.
  • I hate to say this but do some things yourself. You can't rely on people to do things for you all the time. Well except lifting and pulling don't do that. I mowed the lawn and did some gardening during 1st and 2nd trimester. I also learned to put my shoes and socks on myself my husband wasn't around all the time. When i was 8-9 months pregnant I just did simple things like cook and clean:)
  • If you are afraid of needles. GET OVER IT!!! you will be poked and pricked throughout pregnancy. From blood drawn to shots. I was terrified of needles and blood. I would have one look at a needle and pass out instantly. Now since i went through pregnancy and delivery im like ya give it to me. Now i show them where my good vein is and i watch them.
  • C-Section. Umm ya didn't have one. But i was at the point where i wanted one :0 So sorry cant help ya there.
  • Don't be scared to be a parent. I was terrified till I had my son thats when i knew i could do it. So don't worry your gonna be a great mom:) All that motherhood comes naturally. Practice or no practice. I raised a lot of kids (nieces and nephews) so i kinda got the picture.
  • Birthing classes. I didnt take any and i did just fine i had a nurse go through pushing and everything before i started pushing. It was like a mini birthing class:)
  •  Invest in a nursing bra if you plan on nursing. Dont buy a bunch cause you'll prob nurse from newborn to 6 months to a year old. I bought 3 and its a good number; i got mine from wal-mart i was lucky they were on sale for $10, and i love them. I also bought bigger bras to make my boobies comfy, i went up 2 sizes. Dont forget the nursing pads, you are gonna need them.
  • Its normal if you cramp a little its just your uterus stretching and getting ready for the little one.
  • Stretch marks will appear i didn't get them till after i had my baby. I didn't get any on my belly just on my hips and inner legs. When you get them they will hurt, only for a while. Keep putting lotion on the spots where they appear. I used Cetaphil and it worked amazingly.
  • During your last couple weeks or month get things done. Clean the house, make frozen dinners, get car seat ready, wash all baby clothes and blankies. I was unprepared cause they took my baby early, they decided to induce me when i was at my exam.
  • Dont worry about gaining weight. Its good weight, it'll go away after you have the baby.
  • Yes morning sickness sucks, you could get it some times or always. Your not alone all women get it. Take vitamin B6 helped me a ton and drink herbal tea; do not drink mint or raspberry i heard its not good for the developing baby.
  • Don't worry about maturity clothes. I mainly wore stretchy clothing and sweat pants. I did get some pants from my mom and some people and they were nice to have.
  • Wait to buy stuff till after the baby shower.
  • Go for walks. It helped me keep my good pregnancy weight and you get out and stretch.
  • Your back will hurt. That sciatic nerve sucks. Don't sleep on your back when you get to your 3rd trimester. The baby will lay on that nerve and it kills!!. I was down and out a lot because of my back. I could hardly move.
  • Cravings are fun...kinda. Its fun to find out what you crave. The weirdest thing i craved was the smell of beer. I wouldn't drink it i would smell it.
  • Write a pregnancy journal. I did and i love looking through it and reading what i craved and what happened that week. Also im writing the first year of my baby in it. All his milestones and the little things like when he took a shower for the first time.
  • Pack in your last month. I did that and i just grabbed the diaper bag and left. But i only packed early for baby not me haha.
  • Look for pregnancy freebies and sign up for stuff. I get free samples from enfamil and coupons from gerber. I also get deals from websites like deals for mommy. Here is the website for free stuff all you pay is shipping http://www.thriftyfamilyfinds.com/2013/04/22/421-pregnancy-freebies-roundup/ they update it every month.
  • Sign up for a pregnancy program provided by your insurance. It does depend on your insurance. For mine they had a 24 hr nurse that i could call if something happend and they called me every trimester to get caught up on whats goin on. They also sent me a bunch of free stuff. Books that helped me a lot.
  • It will affect your sex life. Yep i typed it SEX!!! During first trimester you'll be way to tired to do it. Second you could get better or stay the same. It depends on the person.
  • Get this app!! its called Im expecting. It tells you how big your baby is per week and sends you notifications on what week you are and what the baby looks like. Also sign up for this website babycenter.com. it tells you anything you need to know about pregnancy and baby. It also tells you what your baby is developing that week and what will happen to you. Also get that app too they have chat rooms so you can ask questions and help other people too. I got both and they are fun.
  • TAKE PRENATALS!!!!
  • Dont drink water before bed. I got up to pee 3 times during the night. I kept forgetting not too cause i would get so thirsty.
  • I heard that if you crave healthy foods its a girl and junk food its a boy. I craved junk food like fries, soda and candy and wala i had a boy.
  • When you see your baby in your dreams that means your baby is dreaming about you or thinking about you. We'll its what i heard. I saw my baby in my dreams a lot and i imagined/dreamed him like he is now.... weird huh.
  • Drink less than 200 milligrams of caffeine a day. It affects the fetus so cut back on coffee and soda..sorry.
  • Be careful of raw foods like meat and eggs and cake batter. So don't drink egg nog while pregnant. I was pregnant during Christmas and it sucked i wanted egg nog so bad.
  • Just enjoy your baby kicking and seeing he/she on the ultrasound.
  • Do get a pregnancy wedge by boppy. I got one from my sis in law and i loved it. I was 8 months pregnant i would wedge it under my belly and i slept so good.
    This is the pregnancy wedge

Tribute to my mom and dad

I have a feeling that i need to write something about my parents and what they have done for me. I know its out of subject on my blog but i really want to write this.
Mom: you have done so much for me from supporting me in school to moving out and getting married you have always been there when i needed you. I love calling you and just talking to you about stuff or just coming over. I am so glad that i was chosen to be in the Anderson family. God knew that me you and dad could handle my health problems and we did. I never would have gotten this far if it wasn't for you and dad cheering me on and telling me that everything will be ok and ill be normal again. I know for those horrible 4-5 months i made you cry and worry and i never want to do that to you again. You never gave up on me like some people did. You sent to to specialists, doctors, and hospitals to figure out what was going on. My pregnancy wasn't the best ever but you helped me through it. Im so glad that you were there when i pushed for 4 hrs. You and Preston kept
me going. I miss going on adventures with you. Going to  Disneyland,
FFA conventions, and las vegas. We traveled the world without a
care. Mom I love you so much and hope we can continue our adventures.
Dad: Wow what to say! there is so much i want to say. Thank you too for supporting me in school when i got married and pregnancy. I loved goin to Fish Creek every year. I could not wait for that trip. We have to go again sometime.
Dad you have supported my artwork from the beginning. Every time i
draw a new piece i could not wait to show you what i did. I love your reaction that you have whenever i
show you my artwork, cartoons and all. I love talking to you i feel i can tell you anything ( and mom too). Whenever i cook something i say to myself  "Dad is going to love this. He has to try this."
I can tell my health issues scared you; i was scared too. I didn't know what would happen, i was terrified everyday wondering if tomorrow would get better. You would hug me and sing me my favorite country song " dreamin cowboy". Even though i don't remember what happened most of the time i knew what was going on around me. Im so lucky to have a family that loved and supported me through the hard times. I absolutely love it when you sing. I love your songs and poems that you wrote. I hope you make a CD someday of your songs so i can listen to it when your not with me.
Again Mom Dad i love you so much:) I miss you every time I'm not with you.

Katsudon buri かつどんぶリ (aka teriyaki bowl)

This is one of my dads recipes he would make when he was on his mission in Japan and it is amazing so i have to share it.This is one of many Japanese dishes i will share.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 pieces of frozen chicken defrosted and cut into cubes
  • soy sauce
  • sugar
  • water
  • 2-3 eggs
  • half an onion cut up
  • Rice

Prep:
Cook onions till they are clear add chicken and cook till done.
For the sauce add soy sauce, water, and sugar in a cup. About a 1/2 c of soy sauce water it down  and add sugar. Taste till just right, it should taste like sweet soy sauce. I use about 1-2 cups of sugar the water is to water down the soy sauce so it wont be as strong.
Cook eggs and mix with chicken mixture then add about 1/4 cup of the sauce and cook till chicken has soaked it up.Add 1/2 c or more of the sauce to the mixture again and let it simmer till the sauce is almost soaked in it should look a little runny.
When finished put on top of rice and enjoy i like to have leftover sauce to put on rice thats why you make so much.
If you get confused or have questions let me know my dad taught me it and its kind of a guessing game with the sauce so i apologize for not having exact measurements.

Oil Pulling

It does sound weird doesn't it. I have been trying this for 2 weeks now. I found this on pinterest and i wanted to give my input on it.
For those of you who haven't heard of it oil pulling is a safe and healthy way to get rid of toxins in your body. What you do is get a tbl of fine oil like olive oil, coconut, or sunflower and you swish it in you mouth for 20 min mainly through your teeth. When you are done spit it in the trash, not the sink and don't swallow it. I have been doing it in the morning before i eat so i wont gag and throw up. I'm gonna try it later in the day and see what happens. What it does is it pulls all of those harmful toxins out from your mouth and into the oil. It also helps with detox, teeth whitening, some weight loss, hair nutrients, freshens breath and other health issues. It does taste weird and the texture is unbearable, but from my findings it works. I've noticed that my mouth feels fresher, teeth are cleaner and breath in nice. I would prefer coconut than olive it taste less like oil and more like coconut.
I will continue to try and see if I can notice anymore changes and let ya'all know.
*update*
I have been doin it right before i go to bed and it works too. So you dont have to do it right in the morning. You can if you want.
